CONSULTATION
In order for me to discover what you truly love I would love to
invite you to meet me for a cup of tea (and some cake, naturally!)
On this occasion we can sit and
discuss your vision and ideas of your cake - you can bring along your own ideas
or browse through the many cake books and magazines I have here, or you might
even find the perfect design in my portfolio.
INSPIRATION
During our consultation we will gather inspiration from everything
we have and come up with the perfect look for your cake.
Inspiration comes from all around us.
For a wedding we can use elements
from your big day like a swatch of fabric from your dress, the decor of the
wedding venue, the flowers you will be using on the day or even the lace design
of your garter.
Inspiration comes from nature, a
family heirloom, your favourite handbag, hobby or even a beautiful print on
some wallpaper. The possibilities are endless, so have a look around and bring
your pictures, photographs or any item that you feel might inspire us towards
the final design.
This is also when we decide if we are going to be making a large cake, mini
individual cakes or a stack of spectacular cupcakes.
INTERPRETATION
We will use the inspiration we have collected and create a cake
that you have always dreamed of!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I try some samples?
Ofcourse! I include a
free tasting & design session for 2 people in my service.
When should I order my cake?
To avoid
disappointment I recommend ordering your cake well in advance, especially
during the busy summer months. I generally need at least 2 weeks notice for
any bespoke cake, but I can accomodate some orders depending on availability -
please feel free to email me or phone me directly. Im always up for a good
natter!
How can I place order?
The best way is to
email me directly at mail@crumb-bespokesuffolkcakes.com. I will get back to you
as soon as possible.
What can I expect to pay?
The final price will
be determined by the style of the cake, the labour involved, the number of
servings it provides and the ingredients necessary to create it. An additional
fee might be charged on items
like fresh
flowers, a custom made/ sourced cake stand or any other items we might need for
the cake.
Why
does a bespoke cake cost more than a supermarket bought cake?
(I get asked this
very often)
Supermarkets bake their
cakes in bulk quantities - were talking about thousands at a time. This allows
them to buy ingredients in mass quantities from their suppliers, resulting in a
cheaper cost. I live and breathe weddings and every cake at CRUMB is a labour
of love. I use organic, locally sourced products, that costs a little bit more
than shop bought stuff, and everything is made by hand from scratch. I source
my products, bake the cake, do the consultations and deliver the all my cakes
personally as well.
Us bakers see our products
as a true art form and a wedding cake can often take days to make - and that is
without all the emails, admin and the complimentary tasting & design
session!
